We are looking for two passionate and inspiring Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and talented team at Hans Price Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning. This year we are extending our onsite provision to support our most vulnerable students with emotion-based school avoidance, communication and interaction. We are looking for colleagues who want to make a valuable contribution to the team at this exciting time. Our SEN students make greater progress than national averages with us and we are committed to securing even better results for them to open the full suite of opportunities including Level 3 study at college.
These opportunities are offer on a fixed term contract basis until August 2023. Working 32 hours per week, term time only. Actual starting salary is £15,934.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant - Level 1, to assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. the Principal, SENCo and/or INCo, phase leaders and class teachers.) Support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. Takes responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/ teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. Deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being. Works collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Hans Price Academy is a forward-thinking Academy based in Weston-Super-Mare. The Academy provides education to a rising cohort of around 1050 students at KS3/KS4 from September.
