Student Welfare Officer

37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)

Are you someone who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their best outcomes? We are currently seeking a highly experienced professional to enhance our Student Services Team. This role involves fostering student welfare with a dedicated and reliable approach.

We require a dynamic candidate who excels in adaptability, proficiency, and innovation—someone who thrives in an active, ever-evolving environment where adaptability is key.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Empathic, with clear boundaries, acting as a role model to students in some of their most difficult times

• Demonstrates exceptional commitment and excellence in all facets of college life

• Has expert problem-solving skills to assist students with complex challenges that may disrupt students’ academic journey

• Boasts a proven history of exemplary performance in roles requiring intensive pastoral care

Additionally, it would be advantageous if candidates have:

• An energetic and proactive approach with extraordinary organisational skills

• Expertise in Safeguarding and Prevent strategies

• At least Grade C in English and Math or equivalent qualifications

Previous experience in working with young people is required. Please make sure you evidence matching the Personal Specification section of the Job Description as part of your application. All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
