PROGRESS COACH – EVENT SPECIFIC CONTRACT TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE – 26 HOURS PER WEEK

We are looking to appoint talented and dynamic Progress Coach’s with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team.

Progress Coaches are responsible for a case load of students, and work with young people in groups, smaller tutorials and individual one-to-one supervisory meetings. The Progress Coach checks and monitors student attendance, and liaises with teaching and support staff. As a Progress Coach you will have direct contact with students, their families and other stakeholders. Progress Coaches support individual students under their care, providing help with a range of financial, academic, social and emotional issues which may be of significance to the progress of the student. This involves helping students to solve problems and ensure full attendance, making the most of their learning opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to work with young people, and a chance to gain valuable experience of supporting students within a successful and vibrant sixth form college environment. Full training will be provided, and there may be additional opportunities for successful graduate level applicants to begin further training towards achieving accredited teaching status.

Applicants must be educated to good standard in English. Applicants must also be reliable and professional, have excellent communication skills, be empathetic and able to work under pressure.

Sixth Form Colleges NJC points Point’s 5 to 9 - £19,328 to £21,509 FTE (as this is Term Time Only, 26 hours per week this equates to £11,563 to £12,868)
