Hours 11.55-13.10

At our School we aim to create and maintain a happy, welcoming, stimulating and secure environment for all of the children in our care where they can work hard and achieve their full potential. We believe that ‘Every Child Matters’ and pupils, staff, parents and governors strive to ensure that this is a daily reality for all of our children.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible conscientious and ambitious Midday Supervisor who has a passion for working in a school to join the school and join an expanding team to help develop and build a successful foundation.

The person will require lots of energy and enthusiasm, the ability to relate well to young children and work well in a team. Duties include supervision of children in dining areas.

You do not need to have any past experience but you do need to:

• be someone who learns fast and is willing to take part in training

• enjoy helping children play well together

• be flexible and show initiative

• have high aspirations for children.

We are confident that your work with us will be rewarding and that you will find our staff team supportive.

At our school we recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils.

We make every effort to provide an environment in which children and adults feel safe, secure, valued and respected, and feel confident to talk if they are worried, believing they will be effectively listened to.

We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure children receive effective support, protection and justice. Child protection forms part of the school’s safeguarding responsibilities. We expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment to safeguarding our pupils.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people. It expects all staff to share this commitment and the successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS.

All shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search. The online search is not part of the shortlisting process and all candidates will have the chance to address any issues of concern in the interview.

Safeguarding Statement:

Queen Eleanor’s Junior School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks, pre-interview references and an enhanced DBS check.
