Permanent, Part Time (0.6 – 21.6 hours per week)

Within the role, you will teach GCSE English Language and English Functional Skills. It will include preparing students for June exams, marking homework and mock exams, student monitoring and where appropriate, curriculum development. The expectation is that high levels of student attainment will be achieved.

As our Lecturer – English, you will hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent teaching skills in GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English. You will have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education and have the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress.

With high personal standards and expectations, you will have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail. You will have an awareness of academic quality standards and be able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
