About the role:
Are you passionate about improving students lives? We at West London College are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join our Inclusive Learning department in delivering an excellent service.
Our learners are at the heart of our College, and we endeavour to ensure all learners are given the opportunity to progress and succeed. You will be supporting both the pastoral care and academic development of our learners; this includes students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including emotional, social, behavioural and mobility needs.
You will be a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic individual who will support our students that require additional help with their programmes of study. By creating positive relationships with our learners and assisting them in a classroom or workshop setting, you will positively affect our learners and their studies.
There are three job descriptions attached, please specify in your supporting statement which role you are interested in. The 3 options are, Learning Support Assistant Standard, Learning Support Assistant Higher 1 and Learning Assistant Higher 2. The pay scale is dependent upon role, skill and the extent of personal care assistance you provide. The salary break down for each role is as follows:
Salary for Learning Support Assistant (Standard): £15,709 – £17,356 actual pro rata salary for 30 hours, term time only
Salary for Learning Support Assistant (Higher Rate 1): £17,806 – £19,222 actual pro rata salary for 30 hours, term time only
Salary for Learning Support Assistant (Higher Rate 2): £19,725 – £20,766 actual pro rata salary for 30 hours, term time only
