A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitable candidate to join the team of Learning Support Assistants at Prince Henry’s High School. Whilst most of our learning support work is carried out with students in classroom situations, there may also be 1:1 or small group work required which will be aligned to the experience, interest or qualifications of the successful candidate.

This 1-1 work will take place in our Learning Support Department which has recently benefited from a major refurbishment in order to create a more nurturing environment for students with more complex needs.

Working hours will be from 9.25 am – 3.25pm on Thursdays and Fridays (including unpaid morning & lunch breaks) during term-time, including TED Days (39 weeks/195 days per year).

Prince Henry’s is a popular and over-subscribed 13-18 High School, with approximately 1,300 students on roll. Priding itself on its universal values and ethos, as well as its inclusivity, the school enjoys an excellent reputation locally and has consistently been judged as outstanding by Ofsted.

Working as part of a team under the direction of the school’s SENDCO/Head of Learning Support and a member of our Senior Leadership team, training will be provided, if required.

Further information is available from the Head of Learning Support, Mrs Ruth Baston.

Closing date for applications: 9.30am, Friday 8th July 2022

Interviews: During w/c 11th July 2022 or shortly thereafter
