Are you passionate about adult education and community learning? St Vincent College is seeking dedicated and experienced Tutors to join our casual/bank staff team to deliver non-accredited courses that empower learners and strengthen our local community.
We are currently recruiting Tutors in:
- Functional Skills (English & Maths) – online delivery
- Employability Skills – face-to-face sessions for long-term unemployed learners
- ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
- Digital Skills
Our community learning programmes are inclusive, person-centred, and focused on improving skills, confidence, and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging sessions
- Subject-specific expertise and relevant qualifications
- A teaching qualification (minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training or working towards it)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of adult learning principles and community education
- Flexibility to work as part of a casual team
- Commitment to the values of The Lighthouse Learning Trust

Assessors
Assessor Rate: £17.41 + holiday pay
IQA Rate: £27.43 + holiday pay
Meeting Rate: £13.19 + holiday pay

St Vincent College is seeking motivated and experienced Assessors and IQAs to join our casual/bank staff team. These roles are vital in supporting the delivery and quality assurance of accredited courses, particularly in the care sector.
We are currently recruiting:
- Care Assessors
- Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs)
Our community learning programmes are designed to be inclusive, person-centred, and focused on improving skills, confidence, and wellbeing.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in assessment and/or internal quality assurance
- Up-to-date knowledge of sector standards and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a casual staffing model
- Commitment to the values and mission of The Lighthouse Learning Trust
- Enhanced DBS check (required for all successful candidates)
Key Responsibilities:
Assessors:
- Conduct learner assessments in line with course objectives and standards
- Provide constructive feedback and support learner progression
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner reviews
IQAs:
- Monitor and evaluate assessment practices to ensure consistency and quality
- Support assessors with guidance and feedback
- Contribute to continuous improvement of adult education learning provision
