Due to the pending retirement of the current post-holder St Vincent College is looking to recruit a new manager with the drive, enthusiasm and creativity to build upon and develop our adult and community provision in the Gosport region.

This post will lead our curriculum and staffing relating to a range of programmes which include Access to Higher Education, Foundation Degrees, Adult Skills (GCSE and Functional Skills), Work Based Learning, First Aid and Community Learning. As manager you will hold accountability for developing and implementing a relevant and engaging curriculum offer which meets the needs of our local community and maximises use of our Adult Education Budget.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic manager with a confident but diplomatic approach. You will be familiar with the further education environment as well as have experience of quality management and improvement processes.

The right candidate will be hardworking and flexible, have the ability to work on their own initiative and possess a passion for adult and higher education opportunities.  Strong managerial skills are required for this position and in addition to being creative and organised, our ideal candidate will have the ability to build strong relationships with our local partners to support growth in adult enrolments and breadth of our provision.

A satisfactory DBS check is required before the commencement of this position. Our preference is for a full year appointment; however, this can be flexible for the right candidate should term-time or reduced weeks be preferential for them.
